12. SGS Apartments (Hostel)

SGS is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the Svenska Mässan. SGS has single rooms, double rooms and rooms with four beds. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC and TV. You have access to a common kitchen. Linen as well as cleaning included in the price on your departure. All guests have access to a laundry room. Due to the location with many stairs SGS are unfortunately not able to offer appropriate accommodation to disabled people. This is however not a hotel and thus they do not offer any hotel service which is why the prices are such affordable.

A large modern newly renovated hotel in with walking distance (approx. 300 meters) to Svenska Mässan. The hotel offer rooms especially suited to allergic needs. Wireless internet connection is available in all public areas as well as at the rooms. Recently the hotel has built a new relax department where you can find a jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and solarium.

Scandic Rubinen is situated in the middle of the city centre on the main street, Kungsportsavenyn. It is only a short walk from Svenska Mässan and the hotel has recently refurbished. Approximately 20 % of the rooms and all public areas have free wireless internet connection.

Spar Hotel Gårda is situated in the outskirts of the city centre. A 20 minutes walk away from the hotel you will fnd Svenska Mässan. Wireless internet is available in most of the rooms and in the common areas. Other facilities available are free secure indoor garage, gym, sauna. The restaurant and bar are open Monday–Saturday, 5–11 pm.

Walking distance to shopping and pleasure. Avenyn, Linnegatan, Slottsskogen or the Botanical garden. You reach all within an approx 10–20 minute walk. Tram stop and grocery close by. City Lägenhetshotel is situated only 800 meters from Svenska Mässan and the airport buses. Prices include wi-f at City Lägenhetshotell. Smoking is prohibited at the hotel and no pets are allowed. There will be a booking fee of approx 75 SEK. Because of the low prices they can’t offer you the same service as the hotels can. Therefore they must ask you to notice following: 1. Please respect the agreed times for arrival Monday–Sundays after 2 pm and departure not later than 11 am. The reception is open Monday- Friday 9 am – 4 pm for guests. Saturday and Sundays is the reception open between 10–11 am. If you arrive when the reception is closed you will get your keys from the “key box”. Use your front door code & keycode 4 digits number and #, which you will find on your invoice. 2. Notice that you can only use the key box if you have paid in advance. Control the apartment when you move in. If you find something wrong, please report to staff as soon as possible. 3. Be careful with the apartment and the inventory. 4. Please clean the apartment before you move out, if you haven’t book and paid for cleaning.

Hotel Kusten is run by Slottsbergsgymnasiet, an upper secondary school, and provides work place training for their hotel, restaurant and catering students. The hotel is located in the part of the city called Majorna. Local communications are good with buses and trams into the city centre. The reception is situated on the first floor of the building along with the hotel rooms and conference facilities. The hotel has a total of 28 rooms, nearly all of them have a view of both the river and the sea. The rooms are decorated in fresh pastel colours and all have a telephone and television. The hotel has a wireless Internet network. The reception is staffed during certain hours. Please contact the hotel if you will be arriving later than 22.00 hrs.

Slottsskogens youth hostel is situated in Linnéstaden, one of central Gothenburgs nicest parts. From the youth hostel you can reach most of the sights of Gothenburg on foot. If you want to save your strength there are several trams and bus services at your service! Slottsskogens youth hostel can offer a comfortable living, well worth its price and a choice of staying in single-, double- or 3–6 bed rooms. You have access to a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with pool table, sauna and a sun bed. A wireless connection for Internet is available but you can also use computers in the lobby for free. Please note that sleeping bags are not allowed at the hostel, bring your own bed linen or rent from us. The reception is open between 8–12 am and between 2 pm – 6 am. Check in time is between 2 and 6 in the afternoon/evening but it is of course possible to check in after six. In order to check in after 6 you must, on the day of arrival, let us know by telephone or e-mail when you will arrive. Cancellation must be done the day before arrival, if not we will charge you for the first night. You must check out at eleven o’clock (at the latest) on the day of departure. You can buy and enjoy our breakfast buffet between 7 and 10 on weekdays and between 8 and 10.30 am on weekends. All double rooms are nicely furniture and have an alarm clock and hairdryer. Some of our double rooms have separated beds that can be put together as a double bed. Other double rooms have a bunk bed, for anyone who likes to climb! Smoking is prohibited in all rooms.

Stigbergslidens vandrarhem offers quality hostelling all year around and want to be your favourite place to stay. Their ambition is to create a welcoming atmosphere for rest and recreation in a historical environment and works hard to improve and adjust the hostel to your needs. Within walking distance you find restaurants, cafés, theatres and cinemas. The tram nr 3, 9 and 11 takes you to the city centre in 10 min. Liseberg and Svenska Mässan is 20 min away. The reception desk is open every day between 8–12 am and 4–10 pm. Check-in between 4–6 pm. Booking made earlier than two weeks before arrival should be paid for in advance. The hostel also want the booking prepaid if you arrive after 6 pm. Always contact the hostel before you make a payment when you will arrive late! You can also pay with credit card. This is the easiest way to make the payment in advance for guests from other countries, and the only way if you make the booking close upon arrival and will arrive after 6 pm. Cancellation made the latest 24 hrs before arrival will be refunded. Non cancelled rooms will be charged.
